چکیده
Higher carbon alcohols such as n-propanol, n-butanol, and n-pentanol that can be produced from biomass used alternative fuels in diesel engines. These mix with both fuel biodiesel without any phase separation. Currently, unregulated emissions toxicity total polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) the use of these are not monitored. Investigating effects increasing concentration for a engine on PAH will contribute to protection environment extend engine’s operating life. In this study, adding 35% (by volume) n-butanol were compared. emission biodiesel, mixture containing stood out compared other mixtures decrease 39.17%. higher alcohol-diesel mixtures, highest reduction was observed 80.98%. With respect toxic emissions, very close values obtained blends up 94.15%, although showed maximum 84.33% blends. All reductions also prevented formation high-cycle PAHs. The results high mixing ratio contributed improvement properties an increase fuel.

The influences of different diesel/biodiesel blends and EGR rate on brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC), exhaust gas temperature, NO, HC, CO emissions, are studied and demonstrated. In this paper a four stroke direct injection, water cooled, diesel engine was used. Biodiesel either in neat form or as a blend with diesel fuel is extensively investigated to solve the twin problem of reduction ...
متن کاملEmission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine fueled with Diesel-biodiesel-JP-4 Blends
The main objective of this research is to study the effects of JP-4-biodiesel-diesel fuel blends and operating parameters on the emission characteristics of a CI engine. The experimental tests were performed on a four-cylinder DI diesel engine. The Mixture-RSM method was used to develop mathematical models based on experimental data. The results showed that with the increase of the biodiesel pr...

In this study, energy and exergy analysis were performed for a single cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine using biodiesel, diesel and bioethanol blends. Each experiment was performed at twelve different engine speeds between 1000 and 3000 rev/min at intervals of 200 rev/min for four different fuel blends. The fuel blends, prepared by mixing biodiesel and diesel in different proportions fuel wi...
متن کاملModeling the effects of biodiesel-diesel fuel blends on CO2 emission of a diesel engine by response surface methodology
Nowadays biodiesel is receiving more attention as a most important renewable energy for using in diesel engines. Inthis research, the application of Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was highlighted to investigate the effects of biodiesel-diesel blends (B0, B20, B50 and B100), engine operating parameters (engine load and speed) on CO2 emission of a diesel engine. The experiments were conducte...

The feedstock used in our experiment for the production of biodiesel was Yellow Grease. The whole experiment was divided into two parts: Production and Testing. Production involves Transesterification of free fatty acids in yellow grease to form yellow grease alkyl esters. The process of testing involved calculation of the physio – chemical properties, acid value, density, kinematics viscosity ...
